it is a super frightening thing to think that people can leave the earth just like that...
without warning,
without even knowing when
today, i woke up feeling normal
until i was informed that one of my mum's friend passed away
she had a son younger than my sis,who is 6,and a husband
she had awesome vocals,an awesome smile and she was just married for a few years...
one day she is there
the next day she is gone
never coming back again
just like that
according to my mother,
the virus was there long ago
it was just slowly killing her
one bit by one bit
everyone thought that when the operation was successful, it meant that she was saved....
most stop praying,
and she was gone from the earth today.
currently mum regrets not spending time with her
she never visit her for 1 year plus!
and before she can even take a step to communicate,
the person is already gone from this earth
many times we wake up day after day after day
and never bother to talk to our family members or friends
we think we have all the time in the world to build the bond
we procrastinate mixing around and spending time with others
but actually time is just ticking away
we tend to engross ourselves in "un-social" activities such as studying or working
till we neglect the fellowship of friends and family members
it is not until we lose the chance forever till we regret our actions
but regret will not solve anything,
once a person is gone, he or she will never come back again
i am not saying that studying or working is bad
it is important!
but do not neglect the aspect of love and friendship because you are busy earning hard cash, earning good results
think about this,
you see your friend everyday at the bus stop
but dont talk to him/ her
as recently you are mugging for end of year examinations(EOY)
this goes on for weeks
after EOYs are over, you look around and realise that you have not been seeing that bus stop friend for a period of time
you call up the handphone, but there isnt any answer
you call up the housephone,
and the parents tell you that your friend has passed away
why is it that many of us have to experience our friends facing near-deaths-experiences in order to start treasuring them?
not everyone live after those kind of experiences....
i hope the world will learn this truth:
it is indeed a daily thanksgiving to know that our family members and friends are still breathing
