if only i can say things so openly....
if only i had no boundaries in this...
just this...
just this once...
you would know everything!
and i can finally breath a sigh of gratitude!

Hello ~ Lionel Richie (1983)

I've been alone with you inside my mind
And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times
I sometimes see you pass outside my door
Hello, is it me you're looking for?

I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You're all I've ever wanted, (and) my arms are open wide
'Cause you know just what to say
And you know just what to do
And I want to tell you so much, I love you ...

I long to see the sunlight in your hair
And tell you time and time again how much I care
Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow
Hello, I've just got to let you know

'Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely, or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying, I love you ...

2 Cor 6:4-10

"Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hardwork, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonour, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as imposters; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed, sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything"

Woah, this week is going pretty fast
one thing is for sure, i had a great experience in presenting in a
science fair/ exhibition.

haha
i never expect myself to enter a science competition
thus when i entered the halls of anderson jc,
i felt out.
(STATUS QUO?!)

anyway,
everyone looked professional!
and i couldnt help but admiring their skills

presenting was the most scary part.
especially to the judges
with their stern faces looking at you,
haha, it is super easy to forget what you are going to say
but one thing is for sure,
you dont need a script,
it is a distraction.
your project, hence you should be able to know everything and explain everything (even in singlish)
sadly, i didnt know that then...

though we didnt win,
i can sure say we did our best.
(OH AND ANOTHER SCIENCE COMPETITION IS COMING UP!)

today was exhibition day to the public.
i repeated my entire report at least 5 times...
but it was surprisingly enjoyable.
seeing people understanding what you bring across...
AWESOME FEELING!

many people gave comments which i never expected,
"your attitude is so admirable"
"you can speak very well, have you been doing this before or is it some st nich thing?"
"you should have gotten the gold"
etc etc etc,
there was this girl who was like wanting to add me on facebook?!

but all these comments are signs that
hey, i did present well, and
those words were words of assurance.
i enjoyed that
(and i even presented without my script)

haha, so the competition is over, and a new one is coming up real soon!
GOING TO DO BETTER FOR SURE! : DDD

Devotion:

Psalm 127: 1
"Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in vain
Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain"

Basically this verse taught/reminded me of 2 things:

1.Whenever we do something, make sure God is pleased with it
Humans can build the temple of God all they want,
Solomon could have built 1000 golden temples for God,
but as long as God doesnt dwell in the temple and honour it,
it is worthless as it defeats its purpose.

Why would God not honour the hard work of men?

Well,
humans tend to lose sight of the ultimate purpose time and time again.

for example:
dont you feel that sometimes when you are doing your homework,
you start thinking of other nonsence that has no relation to homework
or improvement of academics?
see, you are sidetracted, you are losing sight of the ultimate purpose of homework.
it isnt about parents, neither is it about for-the-sake-of-it
the true ultimare purpose is to help you improve in your knowledge skills!

likewise,
these men who builds the temple of God might have been doing it for the wrong reason
they might have been doing it to "show" others on how "cool" their religion is
or even to do it because they are ordered/paid to do so.

Remember,
God doesnt only see the actions of men,
but the heart as well.
Like the story of Cain and Abel.
both gave an offering to God, but God only honoured Abel's offering
this is so as Abel did it for God,
unlike Cain who did it for the sake of doing so.

Linking this back to modern times,
okay, maybe we do not build churches due to our young age,
but we do give offering every sunday.
think about this: why do you give offering?!
majority of you may answer: FOD GOD'S KINGDOM,
but does your words reflect your true heart's attitude?!

2. All things are possible through Christ
We are humans, we are flawed.
Thus many times we do rediculous things that God isnt pleased with
As long as God is against your actions, you will not succeed!

Like the story of the tower of Babel.
God was against then, and did they succeed?
No, it was never accomplished,
in fact, God punished them!

Hence, you can spend years building a house,
but without God's support,
it will never be accomplished aka "Good Game"

We are also humans who need God's guidance and protection.
We may see 1km but God sees the entire world at a go.
You may be the watchmen, the "security guard" who watches over the country or city,
but without God's favour upon this nation,
we are equavilent to being doomed.

from fatty benny's blog : DDD

from thomas jefferson's original draft of the Declaration of Independence ,
fat ben deduced some stuff:
he turned these political chunk of words into something applicable for all

the fact that we hold life in our hands..
shows that we are the masters of our own lives
hence, when we see something not right
we should do something about it
especially if we have the ability to do something about it

then what about God you may ask?!

well, God doesnt control your actions,
(unless you believe in predestinaton, which is the concept whereby you believe that everything that happens is fate)
the opposite of predestination would be free will, which basically means we have the ability to choose..
the truth it, God has a planned path for you..
but u still have to ultimately choose the path you want to take.
He doesnt treat us like a puppet, but let us decide for our own.
He guides, but doesnt forces!

In conclusion,
"The world may want saints... but what the world really needs are knights"

we always want and hope that people would do good..
but what we really need are people who will fight for good..
