Poem
My friends and I were playing truth or dare
And we watched intensely as the bottle spin
It pointed to me and they popped this question
What do you like about him?
I let off a huge sigh
They did not know who he even was
I just closed my eyes and thought back to those days
When I met his eyes
Yes, that’s it!
His eyes
Pure insignificance to many,
But a treasure to me
People only look at his outer appearance
Judging as time passes,
But no one even bothers to look closer
Nobody but me
His eyes are like the sparks of wonder
Many emotions flow through them
His eyes are the windows to his soul
It shows me the beauty that constantly grows
Many people say
His life is wasted, nothing but junk
But when I look into his eyes
I see hope and a bright future
Whenever I look into his eyes
I feel a sudden security
It is like there is a hero in front of me
Hands wide open to protect me
He just takes my breath away
Whenever our eyes meet
A sudden joy rushes into my heart
I am ensured that he is always there for me
Ready for any challenges
He just takes my breath away
And then I remembered his smile
The one that is full of innocence
He had the smile of an angel
Never the same smile as anyone else
They say his smile is like him, is like her
But to me
His smile is one in a lifetime
The smile that just takes my breath away
Through his lips comes out melody
A chorus of encouragement
A song of jokes
And not forgetting a climax of laughter
To me he is perfect
He is flawless
I do not notice stuff that I used to be picky about on others
He was just right
To me,
His features are not important
Cause when I look at his eyes and smile
He just takes my breath away
Yes, only he takes my breath away
As I completed my “truth”
I opened my eyes
And my friends seemed to be stunned down there
What can I say?
He seriously just takes my breath away

2 Cor 6:4-10
"Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hardwork, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonour, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as imposters; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed, sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything"
Woah, this week is going pretty fast
one thing is for sure, i had a great experience in presenting in a
science fair/ exhibition.
haha
i never expect myself to enter a science competition
thus when i entered the halls of anderson jc,
i felt out.
(STATUS QUO?!)
anyway,
everyone looked professional!
and i couldnt help but admiring their skills
presenting was the most scary part.
especially to the judges
with their stern faces looking at you,
haha, it is super easy to forget what you are going to say
but one thing is for sure,
you dont need a script,
it is a distraction.
your project, hence you should be able to know everything and explain everything (even in singlish)
sadly, i didnt know that then...
though we didnt win,
i can sure say we did our best.
(OH AND ANOTHER SCIENCE COMPETITION IS COMING UP!)
today was exhibition day to the public.
i repeated my entire report at least 5 times...
but it was surprisingly enjoyable.
seeing people understanding what you bring across...
AWESOME FEELING!
many people gave comments which i never expected,
"your attitude is so admirable"
"you can speak very well, have you been doing this before or is it some st nich thing?"
"you should have gotten the gold"
etc etc etc,
there was this girl who was like wanting to add me on facebook?!
but all these comments are signs that
hey, i did present well, and
those words were words of assurance.
i enjoyed that
(and i even presented without my script)
haha, so the competition is over, and a new one is coming up real soon!
GOING TO DO BETTER FOR SURE! : DDD
